When Jesus entered this world as the “only begotten son of God” his only goal was to reach out to everyone in order to teach them about our God, his father, in effect himself.
Many people confuse religion with salvation. Yet one has nothing to do with the other. Man needed religion to teach each other about the Lord..not the other way around.
There are many verses in the bible that can teach you this lesson. The one I love and learned as a child is John 3:16
KJV “God so loved the world that he gaveth his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in Him shall have ever lasting life”
Yes that one verse says it all doesn’t it? We take the rest of the bible and point it right to those words. And if we do that getting off track will never happen.
There is no other “condition” of salvation, you are not going to hell if you sin, but if you do, its important to take that sin to the Lord and ask forgiveness, so that you can live a clean and joyful life.
What will get you sent right to “Hell” a we call it, is found in Matthew 12:31 Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.
What is blasphemy? it’s the denial of the spirit of God which is in fact acknowledging that God is not God.
In effect this is a simple explanation of the gain and loss of salvation. I in no means want to simplify the Lord and his word or the importance of each of these. I simply want to give you an introduction to what our Lord Jesus Christ is all about, and how important it is for one to read the word and find people who really know their word of God to associate with.
